By George StraussPosted February 07, 2018 06:21:27George Strauss, the legendary golfer, has made it clear he wants to spend more time with his wife, Joanne, as they prepare to begin a world tour of Australia, where they hope to win the Masters.
As he prepares for the start of the tour, Strauss has spoken candidly about his plans to get back to golf, which have included a visit to Australia.
“I’ve got a couple of weeks to do it,” Strauss said.
“It’s just like a long-term commitment.
I’ll see how I feel, but it’s not something I’ve ever done before.
He’s been spending time with Joanne since June when she announced she would be heading to Australia to join him for a two-week tour. “
It’s something I want to do for as long as I can, but I’m a busy guy.”
He’s been spending time with Joanne since June when she announced she would be heading to Australia to join him for a two-week tour.
Strauss told reporters during a press conference in New York last week that he is planning to spend time with the two of them.
He’s also said he plans to return to the U.S. to see his family and friends, and that he’s considering doing some business with the family of one of his late brothers-in-law.
The pair will travel to Australia from March 13 to 15.
The golf star, who will become the first non-British golfer to win a major at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia, will play at Augusta in a two week time period, starting March 13 and ending March 20.
Strauss said he is confident he will win the Australian Open, the U-17 tournament that features players from England, the United States, South Africa, Australia and Canada, with the win making him the first British golfer since Roger Federer to win both.
He said he would be “pretty happy” if he won the U17 tournament and would consider moving to Australia when he’s done with the Masters and has time.
“My goal is to win, and I’ll just do whatever I need to do to win,” Strauss told Reuters.
