Pearl Jam has confirmed it will be playing four of the five dates in the US, bringing its annual world tour to 12 cities.
The band, which is currently on a world tour in support of its latest album ‘Let Them Rock’, announced the dates on its official website, along with a statement about the upcoming dates: “The band Pearl Jam is excited to announce the new dates for the Pearl Jam tour in the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan, coming in February.
We will be performing on four of these dates in 2016, in addition to five in 2017 and six in 2018.”
The dates are set to take place in January, February, March and April, and the band’s US tour will be on the same dates.
“Let It Go”, which has been the most successful album of the band, has been hailed by critics for its soaring vocals and its innovative lyrics.
“It’s been a long road to the top,” the band said of the album.
“We are thrilled to finally be back in the arena and ready to share the light with the world.
We are all so excited and grateful for the support and for the incredible fans who have taken us on this journey.”
The band has already confirmed that its 2016 US tour dates will be at the Capitol Theatre in Washington, D.C. Pearl Jam will also be playing the US Bank Arts Center in downtown Minneapolis, and a show at the Lincoln Center in New York.
“The Pearl Jam’s new tour in 2018 will bring the band to New York City and Los Angeles,” Pearl Jam said.
“There will also also be shows in Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago and Nashville.
All of these cities will be very exciting for Pearl Jam fans.”
Pearl Jam, whose lineup has grown over the past five years, has sold out many of its biggest arenas around the world, including venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall.
The concert series has also been successful in Australia, where the band has performed a total of 13 dates.
