JOE HORAN, the band that won Best New Artist at the 2014 Grammys, is opening up a new tour this year, bringing the band together to perform at the New York Rangers’ new arena.
The tour, which will begin in mid-May in Brooklyn, will include stops in New York and Toronto.
“I think Joe has a new energy right now and I think that he’s a lot more motivated to do something that he really loves,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told the Associated Press in a statement.
“He has a great idea of what he wants to do and we are excited to welcome him to the Rangers.”
Thornton and co. opened a new outdoor arena in Brooklyn on April 1.
The arena will feature a retractable roof, LED lights and LED screens for the arena’s live entertainment, including live concerts by the band.
The arena opened on May 16, but tickets for the new tour are only available through a special website for fans.
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Rangers’ arena, where they cost $80 each.
The team will also have a limited number of reserved seats available for pre-game concerts.
