The Taylormades are in the midst of a new tour of the Everglads, after a series of media reports suggested the resort was being turned into a luxury resort.
The company’s latest tour of its new resort, the Evergreen Resort in the Everbloom, has been branded “disgusting”, “disgraceful” and “dangerous” by critics.
In a statement, Everglad, the resort’s owner, said it had been made aware of some negative media coverage and that it had received a number of complaints.
“Our team is currently investigating and is reviewing all of the comments made on our Facebook page,” it said.
“This is not a decision we take lightly.
We take all of our guests’ privacy very seriously.”
Everglades spokeswoman, Stephanie Gartland, said in a statement the company was looking into the issues raised.
“While we do not comment on individual cases, we can confirm that we are taking steps to ensure that we have a safe and secure environment for all of Evergreen’s guests, employees and guests of all ages,” she said.
“These measures include the installation of additional security measures and monitoring of social media for potentially inappropriate posts and behaviour.”
Ms Gartling said the company would continue to work with local authorities to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
The Evergladers were founded in 1884 and in recent years has expanded to include four other resorts in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
