What to know about Niagara Falls tours and other outdoor attractions at Niagara Falls

New York City has a long-running outdoor adventure trail network, with hundreds of destinations in the parks and forests of the city.
But many of those attractions are in jeopardy after the state’s governor announced last week that the state would no longer provide the funding it had provided for the parks.
“If they don’t get their act together, they’re going to have to go,” said New York state Assemblyman Mark DeSaulnier.
DeSaulneier is sponsoring a bill to make it more difficult for New York to add new parks to its existing list of outdoor adventure destinations.
The bill, sponsored by DeSulanier and Assemblyman Anthony Rendon (D-Queens), would force the state to pay for park expansions in the next 10 years.
“There’s no question that we’ve got to do something about this, because we’re not going to be able to continue to have outdoor adventure at our parks,” DeSaule said.
“We’re not even going to start from scratch.
It’s already a lot bigger than it needs to be.”
New York’s parks are already struggling financially, with the average park opening day revenue declining by more than 30% over the past 10 years, according to the New York State Parks Association.
A lot of that has to do with the declining cost of parks, as well as the fact that the number of people visiting the parks has declined over the years, said Michael Daley, the executive director of the Parks Foundation.
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation estimates that a park could cost $20 million to build.
“That’s what the state budget is telling us.
It is going to take a lot of money to build a park,” Daley said.
The parks foundation has a number of recommendations to make to New York governors.
It recommends increasing the amount of funding that goes to parks, including new facilities for children and people with disabilities.
It also recommends giving the state the authority to set the funding levels for parks.
It should also be allowed to establish the budgets of parks and recreation organizations and allow local governments to use their money to expand the parks in their jurisdictions, Daley added.
The new bill also calls for the state Department of Transportation to create a website to provide information about all of New York’s outdoor adventure parks and sites, as it is required to do under the New Yorkers Parks Act.
“This is a good step forward to ensure that the public is informed about parks and places they can go to for recreation and recreation-related activities,” DeLuca said.
“These are all really exciting and new opportunities to bring the parks to life,” Rendon said.
